This talented young designer never ceases to impress. It is difficult to imagine at just 25 years of age the attention that he is attracting from the international press. He is without a doubt, shaking up the capital’s fashion scene.
We learnt that immediately after his graduation from « La Cambre », the Belgium’s prestigious National School of Visual Arts, he worked as an assistant stylist for Jean-Paul Gaultier, in the haute couture department. Later he worked part time with Chanel, finally becoming a stylist and consultant in the Acne Studios.
From ready-to-wear to haute couture to theatre costumes, his designs represent raw energy full of creative expression and vision. Fashion and innovation certainly go hand in hand, Alphonse Maitrepierre is a multi talented modern day designer with a unique sense of style. His designs are constantly evolving.
He creates cool fun clothes, and at the same time focuses on craftsmanship using new techniques whilst consciously pushing the boundaries of sustainability. Today Alphonse has launched his own brand « Maitrepierre ».
